Big Happy Collapse #2,5
Ceramics, glaze 1250°C, automotive paint
H 65 x 37 x50 cm
During his residency at the International Ceramics Studio in Hungary, Roger Coll had the opportunity to experiment with tools, processes, techniques and clays he did not usually work with. There, Happy Collapse materialized, a clear reference to architecture and to Roger Coll’s past as a technical architect. A metaphore for the feeling that everything can collapse, the fall of a building. A sensation of instability, while at the same time transmitting a strong optimism through color and finish.
For Collectible, and following a new input by Il·lacions, Roger changes the scale aiming for the functional piece. A sculpture that could be used.
