Curro Claret

Born in Barcelona (1968). He is a free-lance product designer (studies in Elisava and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design) active in the professional field, with projects developed with several companies (like, Camper, BD Barcelona, Metalarte, Zicla, Mahou… ), and with foundations and associations involved in social programs (like, Arrels Fundació, Fundació Tot Raval, Fundación San Martín de Porres, We Are Water Foundation… ).

In those areas, his greatest interest and areas of design research could be mainly described as explorations on how humans (particularly those in more vulnerable situation) can be able to participate in defining and building their surroundings taking profit of their circumstances (whatever they could be) in relation to the actual environment and social challenges. That questions particularly on two main aspects; how design can stimulate empowerment and emancipatory attitudes and on the other side to generate links and connections between unrelated groups.
